Use VBA to change font colour of a cell based on its own value (date)

I have a number of cells (K6:K50) with the date format.
Is it possible, using VBA, to change the cell text colour to red 28 days prior to the cell date aging?
Note: Cannot use conditional formatting as these cells already have conditional formatting applied to them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have just found out that the VBA code will overwrite the pre-exisiting conditional formatting.
I will have to go back to the drawing board, so to speak!
