How To Customise The Status Bar?

Hi all,

I need to use VBA for my undergrad dissertation to test my hypotheses (it's about system status visibility) & have successfully implemented progress indicators, however, although I can change the contents of the status bar I need a way to make it more prominent.

Is there ANY way I can:

Change the colour of the bar?
Change the colour of the text?
Change the size of the bar?
Change the size of the text?
Make the text bold?
Change the font?
Make the text flash/scroll?
