Unhappy Macros are not saved to new file (as single sheet)

    Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and I wondered if anyone could help me. I have a central file that makes a number of new excel files that are saved as single worksheets. The worksheet that I am saving each time contains CommandButtons that launch macros. When the files are generated (as single worksheets), some of the command buttons are missing and the macros are not included in the new files. My question is:

How can I save copies of single worksheets as new files that include my Command Buttons and Macros?

I would be very grateful if any expert can help me out!

    All the best,
    Oscar

Re: Macros are not saved to new file (as single sheet)

    Hi Venkat,

Thanks for your posting. The extension is not the problem. When I save single worksheets as new excel files the command buttons and macros are not included in the new files. If I use SaveCopyAs to save the complete workbook and then hide the worksheets that are not wanted, the problem disappears. The only downside with this solution is that the file sizes are larger.

    Best,
    Oscar
