    Pop Up Calendar Problems

I have been trying to create a pop up calendar for my workbook for a few weeks now. I would like the calendar to be compatible with 2007 and 2010 versions of excel. I have tried to follow the instructions listed at http://fontstuff.com/vba/vbatut07.htm however I can't seem to get it right.

When I try to select the MonthVeiw control I get a "class factory cannot supply requested class" error...so I tried to modify the language substituting MonthView for CalendarControl....Still didn't work.

I even tried switching computers...using a windows 7 version with excel 2010 yet the MonthView or CalendarControl aren't even options!!!

Lastly I tried the add-ins and that didn't work either. I really like to learn how to use visual basic and get this done right rather than downloading a file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Pop Up Calendar Problems

What are the steps you are using to select the MonthView control? What is generating the error--attempting to run code? Or attempting to add the control to your form? Can you attach the workbook you have so far?

Also please note that you require it to be compatible with 2007 and 2010 but your profile says you are using 2003. Is your profile correct?

    Re: Pop Up Calendar Problems

Thank you for your reply. Part of my problems may have been I was using two computers with various versions of window and excel. From now on I'll be using Windows 7 Home Edition 64 bit processor, Excel 2010.

The workbook I'm trying to revise was created in 2008 and I assume it was a 2003 version of excel. The file format is .xlsl

Unfortunately out of frustration I have scrapped the previous attempts to input the Pop Up Calendar. Could you point me in the right direction? Maybe a recommended book from the library?

    Thanks again
    Jon
