Adding Event Labels on XY Scatter Chart using VBA and a Cell Range

Good afternoon! I have looked all over for this solution without the use of an add-on and I have seen some that come close but I am hoping you brilliant ladies and gents can point me closer to a solution.

The problem is, I have heaps and heaps of data that I am plotting and it can be difficult to pinpoint 30-70 points to label.

Here is the chart without labels:

and here is the chart with some labels based on a range:

Is it possible to use VBA to look at this event list (left hand side of last picture), find it (or the closest one possible) in a named range of data for the chart and add a label to a data point and calling it something custom (like Event 1)?

I have come across some compelling macros that will find the Maximum value of a scatter plot and label that specific point however I need something that will run down the list of Events that are there (could be 10, could be 40) and label them on a Series without having each point labeled (Some of these charts can be 200,000 data points).

Is this possible?

I have attached an example of what kind of data and events would look like.
