Autofit Merged cells in a protected worksheet

    Hello

I have been working on this form for work on and off for some time, and have finally decided to ask for some expert advice. I have a form for use in our office which our employees need to complete. Some of the form is protected, where changes can not be made, and others are unprotected, where they fill in the information required.

I have merged cells, and I know after doing research that this is a part of the problem, but I don't know of any other way of setting this up. There are a few sections which have paragraphs where the employee types in a fair bit of information. They need to 'enter' to get to a new line, as well as keep typing so the text will spill over into the next cell below. I have formatted these sections to have word wrap and auto fit row height, then I have found some vb code posted by Gord Dibben, which works perfectly, until I protect the sheet. When the sheet is protected, the auto fit stops working.

The code I found posted by Gord Dibben is:

Here is code from Greg Wilson.

Can anyone help me with this please? If I have not explained anything properly, please ask questions.

    Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Please put your code in [ code ] tags.

Unfortunately, we'll have a moderator jump all over us if we respond to your question before you've fixed your post and complied with the rules. However, once you've done so I'll introduce you to the wonders of the .unprotect command.
