Hello -
I was working on a budgeting worksheet and typed +/- into a cell (not for a formula). After hitting enter I get the following error message
"The formula you typed contains an error. To get assistance in entering a function, click OK, then click Function on the insert menu. If you are not trying to enter a formula, avoid using an equal sign or a minus sign, and proceed it with a single quotation mark"
My problem is that I can't escape the error message to delete the +/-. When I hit OK, the error message comes right back so I have no option to edit the cell.
How can I escape the error message? I'm hoping I don't have to "Force Quit" Excel - I'll lose 2 hours worth of data.
Thanks in advance.
(My version is MS Office for Mac 15.26)
