I am new here and I have google sheets file where I keep up daily with house hold budget, I wanted to make my input of data easier by using google forms and by using my phone I can just use google forms to select date, type of spending and shop for example Tesco. I have used 1 tutorial from reddit of how to do it and from youtube. It works to an extent. The sheet would update if I submit response , sort of kinda. The problem is that, it would put the data I sent in forms in every single cell for that particular month and this is wrong. It should only use the cells that this shop and month correspond and update the amount I have spend this month for me. Normally, without the forms I would use my calculator and manually sum up how much ive spend. It looks to me like I need a vlookup but im not sure.
