Picking datas from other sheets

Hello, I believe for most of you it is a simple question, but I miss some steps.

In the same document I have 2 sheets:
-SHEET 1: it is a competition schedule. Every day corresponds at a different match, and every Match have a different GameID;
-SHEET 2: I have some strings that contain various infos, and one of the info is the GameID.

The thing I'd like to do is:
in SHEET 2 i'd like to have a cell with a menu with all the matches that I have in SHEET1 in oprder to choose the match I need. As soon as I choose one match from the menu, I'd like to have the correspondent GameID in the next cell.

Have a look at sheet 2 in this LINK. It uses a dropdown in cell A2 and an xlookup in cell B2. Is this what you're looking for?

Hi Flyboy65, I don't see the dropdown I just see a cell with Match "A" in sheet 2, A2. But yes the idea is that. Having a schedule similar to sheet 1, I'd like to have a dropdown in Sheet2 in which, selecting the match (A,B,C,D...) I'm able to have the correspondent Game ID in the next cell

If you click on the downturned arrow in cell A2, you'll see a list of all the matches. Select one and you'll see the game ID in the next cell change.
