    Google sheet - time stamp

    Can someone help me? I'm using google sheet and I was wondering if there was a way to permanently save the time and date registered once I've ticked the boxes.
    I noticed that everytime I close the browser and go to google sheets, the time always updates. Thank you

    Formulas should NEVER be relied upon for static (unchanging) timestamps.

    The only way to create a timestamp when a checkbox is checked is with an apps script.

    Thank you soo much sir. Much appreciated. If I use MS Excel will I do the same thing? or is it another story.

    For Excel, VBA is the scripting language.
