Identifying Points in a Scatter Plot

This is my first post within the forum.

I am a risk management professional, currently working in the field of finance and banking.

I am working with a small group of about 30 records. Each record is a marketable security (a bond) that has two quantitative characteristics associated with it. I am plotting these securities on a scatter plot (XY) and I wish to identify each point by a third trait. That trait is a unique identifying label that I’ve assigned to each of the 30 data records.

Is there a way, preferably within Excel, to display this label on the scatter plot? If not, is anyone aware of an “add-on” or other program that I can purchase in order to accomplish this?
