I've loved Excel since it first appeared, but now...

Hi there!

Been on Excel virtually from day 1 and used it at work and at home - literally every day for the last 13 or so years!

Until this week I was still using Excel 2003 - but after an anti-virus program wrecked my old XP Professional laptop I bought a new Windows 8 one and Office 2010.
What have Microsoft done to my beloved programs? (Excel and Word).

These "ribbons" are awful - seriously.
Too big & bulky and VERY difficult to find the functions I'm so used to using. (Is there even a format painter button anywhere?)
What was wrong with 2 rows of nice small buttons which did everything I wanted?

Anyway, enough of my whinging - I'm off to ask a serious question elsewhere in the forum...
