Hi,
I have asked this question on Mr Excel as I have found the porblem to be caused by the Calendar / Date table, I have not found a solution to the problem.
I have asked this question using a Power pivot example so if i'ts considered duplicate, could that one be closed.
The Problem is caused by the date table, as soon as I disconnected it and used the date column from the fact table everytihing worked as it should,
but even if i used the dates from the
Essentially, I have a matrix with a dates, total sales and a cuumlative total, and slicer to control it, but the running totals are completely
incorrect, it's giving me the cumualative total for 'all' the values but in the 'sliced visual', I have attached the file as a text doc, so will
need changing back to .pbix . , I've also attached a pivot table showing the correct results I'd like in the matrix.
I can see what the problem is
the unsliced running total may go 7, 10 17, 25, 30 40,50 etc. but when the slicer is applied rather than using the totals from the sliced data they're coming from the unsliced.
How can I get round this, I have a file I downloaded and applied a running total to and a slicer and on this it works, but I can't see what I'm doing wrong?
