I am trying to reverse the formula of =SUM(B12:B18). I want to evenly distribute the Sum cell into varying quantities of cells. At the moment I have =$B$6/4 in one column while I have =$B$6/5 in another.

how do you identify the number of cells
4 or 5 ?
would a count() of some description work ?

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.
Here are the instructions, found at the top of the page again
