Link to file as read only

Hi, I need to send a link to an Excel file on a daily basis at a certain hour, but sometimes I delay the messaging because some other user is viewing the file and therefore I can't update it...I wonder if it's possible to send a Read Only version of the file so I can update it without any problems even if other people are viewing the workbook...

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi MarBoTJ:
Share the workbook. Numerous folks can make changes at the same time, although it won't be "read only". You will lose some functionality but it might work for you. Go to HELP (F1) and type in Sharing Workbooks for an overview of this feature. If you decide it's worth sharing; being the generous person that you are, then you can send your links and not worry too much or loose any sleep. Hope this helps.
