    Lags and Database Errors

    Hi Forum,

Since past few weeks I am experiencing serious lags and database errors with this forum.

At around 04:30 PM (GMT), there is a persistent "Database Error" which lasts for around an hour or so.
The site goes offline again and again during this period, although the traffic is also not very high.
Moreover the site sometime takes around a min or two to load a page, or submit a reply.

Is this happening only with me, or everyone is experiencing the same issues?
What is leading to these lags?
Pics for the errors are attached below.

    Regards

The forum seemed to be under some sort of malware attack for most of yesterday: these errors may coincide with the forum operators' attempts to resolve that issue.

I am very surprised that you did not notice that many of us are experiencing the same problems:

This has been going on for over a Month, and has been getting progressively worse.

It has been reported many times. Just look down the recent Threads in this Sub Forum.!!!!

Yesterday and the day before were particularly bad. It would appear that now only a small minority of people are not effected and only a small number of Regulers are still posting now at Excel Forum.

Today appears to be more of the same. I hope i am wrong, but it appears Excel Forum is going through its last Death Throws just now. Only one thing is crystal clear: It is the Policy of the Management here not to comment, or keep us openly informed. There could or could not be good reasons for that. I am not Privy to that. It would appear that Members much much much more senior than us who are and have been amyzing contributers are also not privy to that. Their pleas for help are apparantly ignoored. This includes at least one Administrator, who has openly said this. I think it is good to keep reporting the problems, but clearly you will recieve no satisfactory answer to your problems!

I am seriously worried about this issue. Forum seems to be caught in a big threat
I hope this is rectified soon!

I am pretty new here, but it is has been really bad on my end also. Lot's of DB errors and red screens with warnings popping up. Thought I would check here after my last issue which was this morning.

    Re: Lags and Database Errors

    Hi rhett7660,
I think on average many people are having the same experiences as you. I and many have been for over a month now. The Red Screen has not come up quite so much in the past few days for me. But what is worrying is that although my computers are old with very basic protection, I am never the less getting lots of warnings and finding strange things when I do a security scan.
Just glance down the Thread List In this Sub Forum, and the Water Colors and you will see that it is dominated with such posts, - or check out the links to some of them in Post #4 in this Thread.
There may be a little less reporting of the problems now, as clearly many people are keeping clear of the forum for a while because of the many difficulties. There is maybe a group of “Die hards” that will under all circumstances keep posting... at least as long as they are able to!
