    Custom Avatars not displaying

I've tried on several occasions to upload an avatar but it doesn't display (see broken image on left) - I've noticed a few other user's avatars have gone missing too.

    Re: Custom Avatars not displaying

    Hi
_1) I assume you are at the “level” that allows you to have an Avatar. I think you probably are just about, but check the figures yourself
    http://www.excelforum.com/the-water-...y-profile.html

_2) Images generally are problematic at ExcelForum. In many cases .png are a problem and only .jpg work..

Avatars appears to be an exception ( at least for me ) – I could not get it to work for ages. Eventually I found that I could get one as long as I used .png Format.

    _....

    Bottom line is experiment with
    _1) reduced pixel resolution
    _2) .png or .jpg Format
( 3) As you have noticed it is volatile. Sometimes things that did work suddenly do not . it appears that the Management ( in the unlikely event we do have an ( active one ) or someone else experiments with the Forum Software from time to time and we rarely get informed )

    P.s.
( let us know please what works eventually for you, if you find some combination that works )
