Cannot get any connection to the excel forum (OELDERE)

    Dear excel forum,

Please can you reply on my question.

I'm not able to get any connection with the excelforum (for several days).

    I get the faillure below
    Website is offline

The server may be down for maintenance, there may be a network problem, or
the site may be experiencing excessive load.

I tried on another computer with another IP adress and then I have access.

Could it be that my IP adress is blocked in your system.

    Please reply.

Notice my main language is not English.

Re: Cannot get any connection to the excel forum (OELDERE)

I had a similar problem about a week ago.

For around four days I was unable to log onto this forum. All other web sites worked fine but for some reason I was unable to access this site. I thought they were having some site issues until I was on a friends computer and was able log on with no trouble.

I had this site set up to open when I opened the browser. I had to delete that reference from the browser close everything and reboot my computer. I then set everything up again and have had no problems for over a week now (knock on wood, cross or uncross your fingers or whatever it takes to relieve the curse).

Re: Cannot get any connection to the excel forum (OELDERE)

When I had similar problems, I did the tracert as described by martindwilson and saved it to file and sent it to my ISP with an explanation after the originator of the site in question failed to find a problem. In my case, it was the gateway into Canada that was blocking the originating domain.

    Good luck.

    go to run
    type
    ipconfig /flushdns

I had this site set up in my browser to open (along with some other sites), when I open the browser. I also had it in my favorites list.

At that time I could not access this site. I got an error message that the site could not be reached (I forget the exact wording of the msg.). It was only after I deleted all references to the site, and reboot my computer that I was able to log on. I then got on to the site and added it to my browser>internet potions window and also back into my favorites list. During that period, roughly 4 days, I had no problems with other sites just this one. That was about a week ago and everything has been fine so far.

Re: Cannot get any connection to the excel forum (OELDERE)

    Hi everybody,

    Thanks for all support.

I have since this evening access to the forum (with my own IP adress).

I didn't get any reply on my mails for help, after I added my IP adress in my mail.

After that I had to bump it up (this afternoon).

Glad to be back on the road again.
