    Uploading xml file

Had one OP who wanted to upload a xml file but forum attachment program would not allow this format so he renamed his file to xls and told me to rename it back to xml whitch solved the uploading problem but I wonder should xml files be included in the forum attachment program?

Could there be any potential risk if they are included?

Have you checked adding it in a zip file?

I have no idea. I only know that xml (EXtensible Markup Language) is designed to transport and store data.

XML was designed to transport and store data, with focus on what data is and HTML was designed to display data, with focus on how data looks. So HTML is about displaying information, while XML is about carrying information.

Have you checked adding it in a zip file?
No as the OP solved his problem by changing extension to xls and I renamed it back to xml and I could write and test a macro that imported xml files to excel.
