I don't really get all that much of an opportunity to watch football, but do enjoy getting a chance to watch the Barclays Premier League. I'm watching Man U and Newcastle right now and not so sure about Wayne Rooney.
From what I can see he is a good footballer but his antics are a little over the top for me.
Wondering, who are some of your favorites to watch and I guess it does not have to be limited to Barclays? Any thoughts on Rooney?

Being a Leeds fan I have no love for anyone who plays for Man Utd but Eric Cantona was a bit special who sadly left Leeds for them. No doubt Rooney is a great talent but that's as far as my opinion of him goes.
Current footballers you just got to say Lionel Messi is amazing. Doubt we'll ever see him playing for an English club though.

I'm biased, but in my opinion the best player in the Premier League is Gareth Bale - I'd like to see him playing for a GB team in the Olympics (he's Welsh) but I suspect the politics won't allow that......
