Just wondering who does not have a FaceBook account in the days where it is the hip thing to do.
BTW, I don't have one , nor do I do twitter.

I love to use Facebook..
Can't really be bothered voting because there isn't really a category that fits.
I was introduced to Facebook long ago by my "kids" (38 & 34) so I could see family photos. In those days it was relatively simple and easy to use. I *did* connect with other people and people connected with me and it was quite fun.
Now, it's complex and I don't really know how to work it. I get all sorts of crap about all sorts of people and things in which I have no interest and no matter how much I try, I struggle to switch the stuff off.
Consequently, I rarely use it unless the kids tell me there's something there for me to look at ... and then I have to wade through the mire to find it.
As for Twitter, I set up an account for some testing I was doing. God forbid I should ever descend to posting the sort of drivel I've seen there in my few brief visits. Good grief!
As I said, not really a category for me to vote for but I could pretty well live without either of them.

I have Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
In the vast majority I keep my Facebook to people I am real world actual friends with (a couple of Excel forum contacts have made it on to the list). I culled old class mates and work colleagues I couldn't give a monkeys about a while back.
In general it's great but with their focus on share price and dividends now the more they try and make me pay for stuff the less I will like it. The advertising and sponsored links in my feed already irks me sometimes.
I don't Tweet much but am glad I'm on there as I dropped my wallet the other week and a good samaritan found it, looked me up on Twitter and messaged me. I had it back in my possession, money and everything, within half an hour.

Nope - I don't do the social media thing generally. (don't get me wrong I read other people's twitter timelines for certain things but don't do the facebook thing). Inevitably I can see I will probably have to do it at some point - but right now - no.
I have a fb account, read what "my friends" post, give "like", add comments....it's fun! I use it at office too! lol
no twitter.

No Facebook, no Twitter for me and you know what ? I'm happy !
The answer is Yes
I don't have one...Actually, most of my friends do not have a fb account.
i love u
I can't understand the big hype, but that is just me.
It's just a new way of communication.. Nothing else.
When cellular phones start to raise I got one. My mom was angry because "a good old telephone is good enough and why I need to spend money on that toy".
Today she has 3 cellular phones (just because she don't want smartphone to merge them.. Again a step behind).
I have one (had before private and bussiness, but after joining FB I just turn off private).
So you can say FB replaced my private cellular: my friends can contact me there: anytime, with more options (pictures, videos...) and free of charge.
And after I got baby she also realized how Skype is usefull.
In few years probably some new way of communication will appear.
In dozen years a GSM will be turned off.
A telecommunication meteorite will hit a ground

Facebook demands too much personal information: I've already had an Identity theft incident; wht would i give all my details to any computer let alone one with that many millions of users. I can see some advantages that it would give but not nearly enough.
It's ment to contain personal informations and real name. Similiar as Linkedin for professional informations and real name.
I must say I was never fan of Twitter (any informations and any (real/fake) name).
Was hard to adopt it at first.
But yesterday, when Hague war court acquits our Generals Gotovina and Markac, a Twitter just exploded.
Euphoria in the country aswell.
I'll try to stick to Twitter for a while and try to use benefits of that.
As on Facebook I've looged every day but I don't change status daily anymore...
As I posted before, I'm using it for private contact right now and it's usefull tool for that.
So what's the merit of a twitter explosion ?
I ment explosion tweeting inside a twitter, not twitter accounts. I don't know, someone who use it often should write more about that. Looks like that work on pulses. Like USA election the other day when '4 more years' become most tweeted sentence of all times. Could be that it's much faster than waiting portals to publish news. Guessing.
You can't twitter faster than radio or television signals.
Yes you can since most of TV or radio program (except sport) is not direct broadcast.
For example, death of bin Laden was first on twitter and TV, radio and web portals used twitter informations at first.
(As I heard, I don't claim that)
