    Gray reputation icon?

    In my CP in the list of reputations, all the reputations have a little green icon next to them. Except one that I just got today, which has a gray icon. What does that mean? The thread was about 2 years old, don't know why the member (who didn't post to that thread) decided to rep me on that.

    It just means 0 reputation point is added to your overall reputation. Perhaps the thread was too old

    This cropped up a month or so back. If the person giving you the rep has not actually posted anywhere, then they have no "rep power" to give to you - I felt cheated when it was explained to me, as the poster(s) wanted to express their thanks for the solution, but they had nothing to "reward" you with.

    Re: Gray reputation icon?

    As a mod I can look at a list of the "reps" you have received - but I can't delete or change anything (except the text which I wouldn't normally change anyway). It doesn't even indicate whether rep is positive or negative.......(!)

    For me this makes it next to useless......(and when I say "next to useless" I mean on the more useless side of useless).

    As Joseph says, it may be red (negative), although the comment indicates it should be positive so it could be a mistake (I once gave DonkeyOte negative rep by mistake - he wasn't happy)

    Re: Gray reputation icon?

    I missed out the red icons for negative reps. I got Fotis' account checked through the admin account and it was a negative rep given by mistake. I have got it changed to positive.

    Re: Gray reputation icon?

    Yes it was pink(I have a photo of this).

    Of course i never had a negative reb so to be sure about how dark red or no, it is.

    I say that was, because now it isn't. Now it's green. Points have added and the same(positive) comment exist there. Did any of you did something?

    @DDL

    No one would be happy to get a negative reb from you. beside of all the others, loose 50? points!

    Out of interest, are there different naughty descriptions when you get enough red rep like there are for green rep?

    I've not had much time for the Message Boards the past 18 months or so, however, on the plus side I do now get (something of) a pay cheque these days which makes for a pleasant change !

    Only another 27 years for me until I retire...
