Relational Data Model Examples?

I was reading "What is new in Excel 2013" and found Data Models.

I've done a lot of Access Queries and know about linking two tables together and wondered if this was similar. I've also installed PowerPivots in Excel 2010 and read a little about it but never tried it.

Find attached a short sample, using 2013 where I've created two tables. One has Customer Name and Invoice number. The other has Invoice Number, what was purchased and for how much.
Using Data Model and building a relationship between the two different tables' Invoice Number we can now do Pivots.

Do you have any other multi tabled workbooks that need this type of one-to-many relationship put into a pivot? I think I've discovered a new tool in Excel 2013.

Is there a better or different way to solve this two table relational problem??

I haven't yet upgraded but that certainly looks like a useful feature to look forward to investigating.

Your profile says you are using 2010 Excel and this is a feature new to 2013. It would be hard to get it to work if you have an older version of Excel.

I've found that Excel is always a few years (or decades) ahead of us normal humans. When we discover a need for a feature it is already in Excel (the newer versions).

Post a sample of what you have and let me work with it to see if 2013 can do what you explain you want.
