Any way to ignore "number formatted as text" error for just one spreadsheet?

I have a spreadsheet that contains license plate numbers. Most are a mix of letters and numbers but some are all numeric. The column they are in is defined with the TEXT format. The all-numeric plate numbers give me a warning that they are numbers formatted as text, which is exactly what I want; I won't be doing any calculations with them. There's a general option to ignore this error but I don't want to do it globally, just for this one spreadsheet (actually one column of this one spreadsheet.). I don't want to have to ignore the error over and over again for each individual all-numeric cell. Any suggestions?

    Why format as text?

Just use the default format of General. If desired format the column to align right.

    On a side note...

When I get a new version of Excel the very first thing I do is to disable all error checking! The second thing I do is to disable formula auto-complete!
