Help with Scatter Plot graph

Probably the first step in any charting is to identify the desired x and y values. In your case, it appears you want text values along the x axis. What do you want Excel to use as the actual "x" value for each text category? Or would it be more correct to say that you want a "line chart" which is more suited for "text" categories along the x axis?

Maybe what you want is a scatter plot of the 2 prices and to label each point with the text?

If so create a xy-scatter on the numeric data and then use a free addin to link text to data label.
