Hello all,

Hopefully someone can answer a relatively simple question.

I am unable to drag the blue boxes of Y-axis data in order to add more plots to a scatter chart...though I have been able to do this in the past without problems with similar data.

The data I'm having trouble with is comprised of 13 columns. The first column contains the serial numbers of the different devices I have gathered data from. The next 6 columns contains temperature-dependent data values. [I have taken data on each device at 6 temperatures.] The next 6 columns contain the values of the temperature readings from the device [each device outputs data as well as a temperature reading.] I have 48 devices, so each column has 48 rows.

So, the first row would look something like this [but not exactly]: Serial#1 DataValue1 DataValue2 DataValue3 DataValue4 DataValue5 DataValue6 Temp1 Temp2 Temp3 Temp4 Temp5 Temp6

I insert a scatter chart and add a series. The series name is Serial#1. For the series X values, I select the 6 adjacent boxes that include Temp1 - Temp6. For the series Y values, I select the 6 adjacent boxes that include DataValue1 - DataValue6. I hit OK and Excel plots the data values versus temperature just fine. Next, I click on the plot in the chart and, of course, Excel highlights the Serial#1 in red, the Temp1 - Temp6 values in purple, and the DataValue1 - DataValue6 values in blue. THE PROBLEM is that I expect to be able to drag the little blue box on the corner of the data values all the way to row 48 and have Excel automatically generate the remaining 47 plots. However, Excel does not allow me to drag the blue box! I know this can be done because I've done it in the past. PLEASE HELP! [By the way, the DataValues and Temp values I refer to above are numbers, of course]
