Subtotals in Pivot Table not showing

I am adding a field with numbers to the Rows area in a Pivot Table, and I would like to show the total (sum) of those rows underneath as a subtotal. I managed to get the subtotal line to show up by clicking Custom / Sum under Subtotals in the Field Settings, but it does not seem to add up the numbers and actually show a subtotal on that line. How do I get it to show up?

Hi stasinek, sure, attached is a very simple mockup. Eventually the idea is to use the Pivot Table to extract only select columns from the source data, and display them in a particular sequence.

I realize that I can move the MG column to the Values area and then it shows subtotals, but then it moves the MG column all the way to the right. I need it to show up where it currently is, with the subtotal underneath it, and with other columns following it to the right, so I have to keep the MG column in the Rows area in the proper sequence. Is that possible?

stasinek, I was just looking for the pivot table to total the values in the MG column as a subtotal underneath, but it seems the pivot table cannot do that...

Thanks oeldere, but I am looking to leave the MG column in its current position (between the Territory and Type columns), rather than moving it to the right...
