Trying to Get Pivot Table To Be Columnar/Tabular Just like a Table

I have Excel 2007. I have a spreadsheet where I want a table in one sheet to repeat in another sheet (linked) but to filter by certain results.

One post I read said that Pivot Tables would be good at this, and so with this link (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/6416/...in-excel-2007/) I'm looking at how to make them. One issue is that I'm trying to have it be tabular to where it looks just like a regular Excel table, instead much of the time it looks very different from that in a most undesirable way.

Tips?

Have you tried changing the pivot report layout? Once you create a pivot and the "Design" tab appears on the ribbon, click on "Design" and go to "Report Layout" which has a drop down and you can choose from Compact Form, Outline Form and Tabular form. Would this solve your issue?

As an aside, try using workbooks ending in xlsx and not xls as they are an older version of excel
