There is a source for the data, which is usually an excel data list. Rows and columns. You click on the list and then go to INSERT - PIVOT TABLE. The code you shared is NOT the PivotTable, it is what was written to get the data out of the database for the pivot table. It should be the same each time you create a new pivot report, except that something might change - for instance, the month, date or other part of your data. I would see no problem going to her and asking for a better explanation of the code you shared. It looks like a query to a SQL database - and I am willing to guess she didnt even create that herself, unless she is a systems analyst or data analyst. So there should be no shame in admitting you do not know it.
Anyway, in your workbook, is there another sheet that is the data, more of a rows and columns looking list?
