two sets of data on single chart

Hi, I'd like to create a chart like the one below, where you have an indicator on the bottom and another set of data on the top. Both use same timeline, but the remaining data needs to be shown like the attached image, with one graph on the bottom and the other on the top.

(I have the data/formulas for the datasets. Just need help creating the chart itself). Thanks!

Re: two sets of data on single chart

Two key things I see to create this chart:

    1) It is a panel chart. http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/StackedCharts.html
    2) It is also a combination of chart types. One type is a "stock" chart (which is basically a specially formatted stacked column chart), and the other is a line chart. Here's how I think I would move forward:

Step 1) Try to create a stock+line combination. The built in stock charts may not allow you to create combination charts with them. If Excel does not object to creating a stock+line combination, then you can proceed.
step 1a) If Excel refuses to create a stock+line combination chart, then you will need to build the stock chart as a stacked column chart, which you can then combine with a line chart. If you are new to creating combination charts, see "change the chart type of a data series" here https://support.office.com/en-us/art...rs=en-US&ad=US This tutorial shows how to build a "box and whiskers" plot (which is basically what the stock chart is) combined with a line chart series: http://peltiertech.com/excel-box-and...ams-box-plots/
Step 2) Once you have the combination chart created, then you can tinker with how to scale the data to get the stock or stacked column chart to be above the line chart. The basic idea for doing this is illustrated in the link to the panel chart tutorial above.
Step 3) Add and format the "dummy" axes as illustrated in the panel chart tutorial.

Thank you. I'll research this and see if I can make it work. I appreciate your help... I didn't know that this is called a panel chart!
