Question on Pivot Tables

I am trying to create a report that allows me to create a graph that can easily change or update by using a sliding increase button.

For example if my report says person A bought 4 puppies and I earned $4,000, I would like to be able to move a button to increase the amount purchased and have the graph show the increased revenue. Is that possible with pivot tables? If so what is the easiest way to do that?

Hi Dina,

As far as I know sliders are not possible in Excel 2010.
An alternative would be to have two buttons, + and -, that increase and decrease the value in a cell.

The code for the buttons would be something like:

If C3 is the target cell that designates how many puppies have been bought. Any formulas, graphs, and pivot tables will update according to that value when the sheet it calculated/refreshed.

I may also be an idea to research about the functions under the "What-If Analysis" header in Data > Data Tools for a simultaneous analysis of all outcomes.
