I have a boy / girl percentage column chart and I would like to put a line on showing the percentage from the other schools. I've drawn the red line on there manually - you can see what I mean here:

Can I do this and if so, how?

Is this not possible then? That's disappointing
If you were to attach a sample file (as I keep reminding you), you might get a response. Honestly, images are next to useless. In any case, we need to see how the data is laid out.
However, please remember that it is the Easter weekend, so activity here will not be as much as usual, and weekends are already quieter than weekdays.

Add another series as xy-scatter.
set correct x values and y values
delete secondary axes
add error bars to series
delete y error bars
format x error bars to have fixed value
remove formatting of xy-scatter series line and markers
