Pivot Table Cell not showing the correct count of raw data

    I'm using MSFT 2013.

It's a simple problem but I'm unable to fix it, though I consider myself an intermediate excel professional.

The problem is that I have a ra data sheet containing PO line items, acknowledged and not acknowledged POs, and when I'm making a pivot based on the purchasing group, the pivot is showing the accurate data but when I'm clicking on the pivot cell # D4 it's showing me the complete data instead it should show me the data for only non acknowledged.

    Please help urgently.

See the attached excel sheet for more details and help me.

If you mean when you double-click D4, that is as expected. All the rows of data for 056 are part of the data set for that cell, even though it only counts the ones with values in that column.

I have to agree with rorya, Excel is working as it should, because you have separate columns for Acknowledged and not acknowlegeds it will show all items of row-item purchasing group. separate data Columns will not work as filters. Only data in 1 column presented in as a columns-field will act as a filter.

If you only want to see the lines with that status you need apply filtering or add another column with both statusses

my solution would be to create a column Status that holds both values as only 1 status is true at the same time.
Then use that status column as columns-field
Po line items as values field
    and Purchasing group as Rows-field

    for the pivot.

If you do that it will show you only the lines with that status if you double click on it.

    see attachement.
