Example file is pretty self explanatory
Been messing around with the settings trying to get the subtotal to go to the top
Mainly spammed the "Show Subtotals at the Top of the Group" but it's not working.
Steps on how to get it would be appreciated as my example isn't in a pivotable format

Select Project Name Field
click Field settings
under field settings go to Layout & print Tab
by default it says show items labels in tabular form,
change this to show items in OUTLINE form and then check
"display subtotals at the top of each group"

but if i look at your example you just need collapse the entire 2nd field
I had to manually right click and remove the subtotals for each column but I got it
