    Help on creating a summary

    Hi ,
    I have data as attached in excel and would like to have a summary in the following format :

    Group Product day1 Product day 2
    Correct. Incorrect Correct. Incorrect
    XYZ 2 0. 1. 0
    Aaa. 1. 1. 2. 1
    Yyy. 3 1. 3. 1



    Or

    Group Product day 1. Product day 2
    XYZ
    Correct 5. 2
    Incorrect 1. 0
    Aaa
    Correct 4 5
    Incorrect 1. 0
    Yyy

    It would be really helpful if on your spreadsheet you mocked up a solution as your explanation does not quite sync up with what you are showing in the thread.

    If your data source looks like the original, I made those additional columns that turned corrects into 1, and incorrect into 0. You can apply this to all your records then create a pivot table from it

    Just a quick thing, as I want all columns total and in pivot we can only show one column total.Isn’t it ?
    I mean day 1 , day 2 etc total .In pivots , I will drop day 1 in columns abd group into rows.Where shall I drop day 2,day3 etc

    Here is another possibility. Since you are using the 2010 version of Excel, you could download the Power Query add-in (free from Microsoft) and use it to rearrange the data into a row over row format. You could then produce a pivot table from the rearranged data.
