    Multi-choice column in pivot table

    Hi,

I have a pivot table that several users input into that currently has 12 columns with yes/no answers. I was asked to replace the 12 columns with one (or at the most 5) columns that would allow the user to select one or more items in the new column.

I've created the VBA code for the multiple choice and and most of my users don't understand how to use it correctly, and then on top of that I'm no longer to able to generate pivot reports/charts on each specific item in the multiple-choice column.

Example: In row 100 they selected "Apples, Oranges and Bananas" in column A. Then in row 101 they selected "Oranges, pears and grapes" in the column A. I can't get my pivot chart to tell me how many times "oranges" was selected, it will only tell me how many times it was selected in conjunction with the other items?

    So my question is:

1 - Is there an easy way to create a multi-choice column without a VBA code?
2 - Is there an easy way to extract information on individual items in the multi-choice column so I can find out how many "oranges" people selected?

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

You can always upload files but are not allowed to post links before about 10 posts. Just follow the procedure described in the yellow banner

    Hi,

Let's see if it works on a different computer, my office network wouldn't allow me to upload the sample file I created.
