Chart with different sections and percentages

    Hello,

I am trying to create a chart that shows the number of total controls for the different company´s functions, the number of controls that were tested, the passed controls and the failed controls.

I want to include in the chart of all this data I.e. 5 triangles that form the chart that are divided into number of tested controls, number of passed controls (strong controls), number of failed controls in percentage.

    Could you please help?

    Thank you

Are you required to use a pie chart? I know many chart experts don't like pie charts. For something like this, they might recommend a stacked bar/column chart.

    1) Clear D5 (because Excel's chart engine really likes to have a blank upper left cell when creating a chart).
    2) Select D5:I8
    3) Insert stacked bar or column chart.
    4) Formatting as desired and evaluate the result.

    What do you think?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your help.

Why don´t they like pie charts?

How can I had percentages to the chart as D5:I8 does not contain them.

    Thank you in advanced

You can put something like "problem with pie charts" into your favorite search engine and find many rants. Perhaps Wikipedia's treatment is representative: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pie_ch..._effectiveness

If you want percentages rather than absolute values, simply choose those rows (rows 10:12) from the table instead of rows 6:8. Or, you can use absolute values for the chart and incorporate data labels that show the percentages.
