Waterfall Chart - Add an additonal line

    Hello,

I am a newbie & hope for your support

I have a waterfall, but to analyze the data correclty I would always need to see the percentages as well (and how they changed vs the previous period). In best case like an additional line.
But I am open for other solutions as well.

Attached you find my data (I added my desired line in red).

Do you have an idea how to solve this?

    Thank you

You have not attached your data, it is just a screenshot. Noone will want to retype your data. if you attach it as a workbook, following the instructions in the yellow banner at the top, im sure someone will answer you.

You can display series son a secondary axis if this is the issue

    Now it is attached.

Another axis would be great, but actually I am not able to add it to the waterfall. I tried it with a combi chart, but also this was not working.

Re: Waterfall Chart - Add an additonal line

When I open your sample file in my older version of Excel, I get a "this chart type is not available in your version of Excel" message. This suggests to me that you are using the built in waterfall chart type for this, is that correct?

From what I have seen on these forums, many of these new specialty chart types (like the water fall chart) are not very flexible. It is difficult or impossible to add new elements to these charts. Many times, the solution I see to these kind of questions is to go back to the old fashioned way of building these kinds of charts from more basic chart types. I would recommend a tutorial like this one (https://peltiertech.com/excel-waterf...bridge-charts/ ) that shows how to build waterfall charts as stacked column and/or line chart.

In your case, I think this will be fairly straightforward to combine a stacked column (for the water fall chart according to Peltier's tutorial) and a line chart to get something like your picture in post #1.
