    Mckinsey style chart with series line areas colored

    Hello,

    Does anyone have any idea of how to create a chart like this in Excel?

    This looks like a ribbon chart, which is not available in Excel.

    That being said, you can use a stacked column chart to produce the same thing minus the connections.

    I agree that stacked column is the simplest of Excel's built in charts to show the same thing without the connecting parts between years.

    If you really feel like those connecting parts add something to the chart, I could see building this as a stacked area chart. You would need two rows per year, maybe along a date (maybe arbitrary dates to achieve spacing) axis.

    As suggested combination of stack columns with stacked areas on secondary axis.

    I have left secondary horizontal axis visible so you can see how it work.
