Text in columns adjacent to pivot table need to move with pivot table when it updates

I have a pivot table of information which obviously changes and moves as and when the data table it's connected to updates. I then want people to add comments into the columns next to the pivot table and when the pivot table updates the comments move with the relevant line item or if the client name no longer appears the comments disappear.

    Is that possible?

    I've attached and example.

What Excel PRODUCT are you using? O365, Excel 2021, Excel 2019, or what?

    I'm using this version - Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2401 Build 16.0.17231.20290) 64-bit

But we use Teams and Sharepoint and so we could use an online shared version too.

There's no >>obvious<< way to do this (IMHO). Here's a possible workaround.

    1. Delete ALL expected results.

    2. Create a comments table. I put it on sheet 1, but it can go anywhere.

    3. Use this dynamic array formula adjusting the bit in RED to something sensible, but future-proof:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

The formula will then update automatically to any changes in the raw data.

    4. then please amend your profile to show O365.
