    problems with waterfall chart

Hello. I built a waterfall using the Peltier method but it didn't work for whatever reason. I've attached a sheet with the data, the chart that it outputs, and what I would like the chart to look like. It looks like the variances are right, but the blank columns aren't pushing those variances (ups/downs) to where they are supposed to be. Thanks.

    Hi Amartino44,

It can be tricky to create a waterfall chart. However, if you PROMISE and PROMISE to not let your Columns go below zero, then you can use this version:

    WaterfallChartNotToGoBelowZero.xlsx

Let me know if it helps.

Thanks for your reply, but I am really curious as to why my setup didn't work. The Peltier site is the one everyone recommends but it didn't click for me. My setup must be wrong or something. It seems like everything between your sheet and my sheet were the same except for the "blank" column.

See my response in your duplicate thread:

You entered the formula incorrectly. Change
    =MIN(SUM(B$2:B2),SUM(B$2,B3))
    to
    =MIN(SUM(B$2:B2),SUM(B$2:B3))
That is, change the errant comma in your formula to a colon.
