    Pivot Chart Date Axis Problem

I have a pivot chart which shows daily thermal output. Its based off of a pivot table which has Year in the Column, Month & Day in the Row and Therms in the Value. When I chart it, I get an X axis that has 1/1/1900 0:000, 1/2/1900 0:000.... instead of just 1,2,3 with the month below it. How do I get it to stop formatting the day like that? I'm sure I'm doing something stupid. My day, year & month are all formatted as numbers.

They are pulled from a Day/Time field in my base table. The table has 4 columns - Therms, Day/Time, Month, Day, Year. Therms & Day/Time are pulled from meters. Month, Day, Year are formulas (ie =Year(B2), =Day(B2), =Month(B2)).

    Thanks!

Re: Pivot Chart Date Axis Problem

From your description you appear to have a regular two dimensional pivot table consisting of years across and specific dates down with values at the intersection. Hence it's not clear to me what you mean by an x axis since your data does not appear to be of the sort that could feed an x axis in the way you're thinking.

However to answer more definitively upload your workbook and describe what values you expect to see on a "x" axis.

Hopefully the attached workbook helps. I should have included that the 1st time, but had to run to a meeting.

If you go into the Pivot Table Field List, under the Row Labels click on the Day Field, the Field Settings, Number Format and change the type to "d". That should display the chart the way you want it.
