    Can't group Data in Pivot Table

    Hi,

    I'm relatively new to Pivot Tables/Charts. I'm trying to group the attached data by length of calls to our Helpdesk, but I can't group the data for some reason, can anyone assist?

    I'm missing something I'm sure

    Hi,

    I think you can only group dates or numbers. It looks like you have blank cells (for your counts) in your data. With just one text value in a column it they won't allow you to group by date or amounts.

    Are you referring to the "Data" tab with the Blank cells? If not, how do I fix?

    Yes on the data tab. Your minutes are text and not numbers. You will need to convert them to numbers to group them.

    I'm only sourcing the data from columns O to Q. I converted the text using VALUE formula's, so it should be picking up numbers?

    You need to get rid of the blank cells also to group your data by values.

    I've now put it into another sheet removing all the blank cells and using the Value columns apart from the Customers, and I still can't group.

    I'm now using Columns J to L in Sheet 1 for my source data??

    Hi, All your data needs a header in each column. No header can be the same word. See the attached for an example where I've grouped.

    VKS, it is exactly what I want, but I cannot edit your PT (I have to obviously record other months), but I've edited Marvin's to the same Group's as yours.
