Question Change content of one cell based on content of another

Hi! I'm looking for guidance on a formula/macro/etc that would enable me to have content of a cell changed based on the content of another cell in the same row.

Example: cell in column D says "PSA" - so I would need the cell in column H for that same row to read "Radio"

I would need an entire sheet scanned to review for these occurrences and make the appropriate changes. I also would need the formula to be inclusive enough to scan for variations in column D cell content (PSA 1, PSA 2, etc).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you need a VLOOKUP(). Check that out first and post back if necessary

OK, honestly, I'm super-inexperienced when it comes to formula development and I have never used vlookup before, so any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

OK. You need to build a two column table with values like PSA, PSA1, PSA2 etc. in the first column, and alongside in the second column values like Radio, and whatever PSA1, PSA2 etc. should translate to.

    Name this table say "MyLookupTable"

Now in H1 enter the formula

    Formula: copy to clipboard

and copy this down column H.
