    Duplicate Conditional Formatting

How would you take the specific conditional format of a cell and display that same color in a different cell in the same workbook. For instance, you've got a table that contains numbers and a correlated table containing percentages. The conditional format has been accurately reflected in the table containing the percentages, but you want the same color format in the table displaying the numbers. I'm attaching a file to help.

You'll notice that if I just do a copy and paste of the formatting from the bottom table to the top in week 2, the colors are not the same as those in the bottom. I want the cells in the top table to have the same colors as those in the bottom.

    Re: Duplicate Conditional Formatting

Hi and welcome to the forum

The colors dont match because, relatively, the values dont match

The rule type you used, gives each cell a color/shade, relative to its ranking in all the values. So if you take each value in the top table, and calculate its rank in the top table, and match the rank of each number in the bottom table, you will see why they dont match...

    Re: Duplicate Conditional Formatting

Yes, I already know that the ranking is different because one table has the absolute numbers, and the percentages in the bottom table represent the year over year % difference. The goal is to display the absolute value numbers with the formatting that is displayed on the percentages.

Anybody got any suggestions? Because I'm already convinced this will have to be implemented via VBA.
