priority number or letter

I am trying to build a sheet showing the priority of each job. The priority is to be set by an upcoming date.I have tried to use the IF function but to be honest it lost me.I am probably you guys worst nightmare as I am one of those self taught guys. Any help would be great. I also looked at a macro but don't think we can use Marcos on our company system as it appears disabled.

Re: priority number or letter

Hi and welcome to the forum

I am self-taught as well (and learned most of the advanced stuff I know from this forum), so no nightmare here

Having said that, I think it would help if you could upload a small workbook, showing samples of what you have, and a few examples of what you expect.
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Regards

Re: priority number or letter

Thank you for the welcome. I have added a file but it is in Numbers. The first column will have the formula to show the priority 1 to 5 or Ato E This will be set by the entry date in the next column the date nearest to todays date will determine the highest priority

Im not sure what was in that zip file, but all I need is a (small) sample, showing what you are working with, and what you want
