    Does this worksheet make sense?

    Hello

This is my first post to the forum so... Hello!!

I am looking to change car in the VERY near future and I wanted to know if i'd see any real benefit from changing to diesel by using MPG best scenarios.
It's been a while since I've used any sort of formulas as simple as they may be but i think I've cracked it.. Would someone be able to look it over and tell me that it all makes sense and it's all true for what i need?

Can anyone suggest anything that I could add to it to help me out some more?

Any help and additions are most welcome

    Thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Your model is flawed since you are adding J4 & J5 together. One is a conversion factor from gallons to litres and the other is a price. This is therefore meaningless. In addition nowhere do I see any mention of the mpg for diesel / petrol cars. Knowing a comparison is your stated aim.

I'm attaching your workbook with an additional sheet which shows one way. Enter your data in B:E and copy the G:H formulae down as necessary.

    Hey!

Holy £$%^ that was quick.. and so much more straight forward than what I was going for!

The only thing I'd ask though is... my intention was to basically do a new tab per car that I want to - although looking at it again, I guess I could still do that! - But in essence my journeys should stay constant although my MPG will be variable?

    Thank you so much!
