I've done numerous searches for this permutation of Counting Unique Values for Multiple Criteria, but have not been able to locate a solution.
The requirement is to count the number of unique addresses in each city. The addresses have to be unique to a single city ONLY. So for example:
City Address Addressee
Millville 2 Elm Robertson
Millville 15 Maple Jones
Millville 9 Ash Michaels
Millville 15 Maple Daley
Denton 22 Hickory Fort
Denton 80 Oak Carver
Denton 2 Elm Thomas
The desired results would be:
City Quantity of Unique Addresses
Millville 2
Denton 2
NOTE FOR MILLVILLE: 9 Ash is the only address that is unique to Millville, 15 Maple is listed twice, but counted once as a single unique address. 2 Elm is not counted because it also exists in the city of Denton.
NOTE FOR DENTON: 22 Hickory and 80 Oak are the only unique address. 2 Elm is not counted because it also exists in the city of Millville.
Attached is an example spreadsheet with more detail and an example of the formula that I attempted to use with incorrect results. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
