Help Dragging Formula Through Multiple Rows Without Interfering With Source Data

Ok here is the jist of it. I have a column with values and there is 2 empty cells below each where I am going to enter formulas referencing the value above it. For example:

    Untitled.png

Say I have 100 values in this Column. How can I drag the formula down the whole column without messing up the source data cells and apply the same repeating formula to each cell below the corresponding data cell above it?

It's not a good idea to post .png files on this forum, as many contributors cannot view them due to software incompatibilities - attach an Excel workbook instead.

Having said that, your description is very similar to one I responded to recently - check out this thread:

    Hope this helps.

Hey Pete, I am actually still not seeing an option to attach an Excel book. If you could point me to that I would appreciate it. That being said, I realized it was an easy solution to just put the formulas in Column B and have the formula in B1 just equal A1. Then put the formulas in B2 and B3 referencing A1. Highlight all 3 B column cells and drag down. That did the trick.

    Thanks!
