Any way to apply a color theme by changing the color of one cell ?

I'm a sports simulator enthusiast, and I've created a template sheet to help me run my various teams. However, I'd like to personalize those sheet, by applying the appropriate team's color to a bunch of preselected cells (mostly column headers).

Is there any way to change the background color of one cell, and have that color be applied to a bunch of other cells ? I know I could probably use a table, with codes (ie. 1 = Dark Red, 2 = Bright Red, 3 = Dark Blue, etc...) and then use conditionnal formatting based on a value entered in one cell (ie. A1 = 2), but given that I'd like to use many different shades of colors, building such a table would probably take me hours, and I was wondering if there was another way around it.

    Thanks.

    Komic,

If the "fills" are permanent (e.g they do not depend on the data in the cells), then click the first "series" of cells you want to colour ("Ctl+click" each one if they are not consective), Then select the Fill Colour in the ribbon and click.

All the cells will now match.

Choose the next series, and repeat with whatever that colour is.

Repeat until you have completed the list
